Our Story

Barbados Island Girl Tours was formed by Gina. Born and raised in Barbados, Gina is a down-to-earth tour guide, with over a decade of experience, bringing the island to life for visitors from around the world. With a genuine passion for people, culture, and connection, she has a natural gift for turning every tour into an unforgettable experience.

Beyond her work as a guide, Gina is also a lover of music and the arts, with the ability to play both the euphonium and clarinet. Her creative spirit flows into everything she does; from the stories she shares, to the way she curates each journey across the island.

A true country girl at heart, she finds joy in the simple beauty of Barbados, and the rhythm of everyday island life. Her passion, and love for her island, is woven into her tours, with her storytelling giving guests a deeper, more authentic connection to the island beyond the typical tourist experience.

What truly sets Gina apart is her love for storytelling. She doesn’t just show you Barbados; she introduces you to it. Through rich history, local traditions, and personal insights, she brings each stop to life in a way that feels real, engaging, and deeply personal.

But Gina’s talents don’t stop there. With a genuine passion for cooking, she also creates memorable dine-in experiences for visitors through her business, Island Girl Catering. From traditional Bajan dishes to comforting home-style meals, she brings the same warmth, flavor, and authenticity to the table that she brings to her tours—giving guests a true taste of the island.

Whether she’s sharing a home-cooked meal, highlighting local culture, or guiding you through scenic backroads, Gina’s goal is simple: to make you feel like you’re not just visiting Barbados, but experiencing it like a local.
